USEF Drugs & Medication Guidelines

Published Date: Jul 01, 2019

USEF recently updated its online Drugs & Medications Guidelines. Representatives of the Joint Leadership Council have been working with USEF to make modifications to these guidelines that ensure the welfare and safety of our horses and athletes, while recognizing that new technological advancements offer more flexibility than in the past. The recent amendments will help veterinarians, in their role as guardians of the horse, to assist their clients in responsible management of their horses when competing under USEF rules and regulations. We strongly recommend that our members consult their veterinarian for guidance in following these guidelines.

Click here to see the update on page 10 of USEF Drugs & Medications Guidelines.
