Christmas with the Knollwood Knockouts

On Friday December 7, more than 100 members and friends gathered for the Knollwood Knockouts’ annual holiday party and election of officers for 2008.  The evening started with speeches from the candidates, followed by an election by the club members.  The new president is Emily Wiersma, vice president is Abbey Reichertz, and the secretaries are Sydney Budzinski and Rachelle McDowell.

Following elections, the members and younger friends broke up into teams and took part in a treasure hunt over the entire farm.  They covered a lot of ground, including three barns, the arena, and the pastures.  The parents enjoyed social time while the kids were running through the snow.

Everyone got back together for pizza in the lounge after the hunt was completed.

On Saturday, December 15, thirty Knockouts members and friends met on a beautiful snowy night for Christmas caroling.  They donned Santa hats, decorated lesson horses Forest Gump and The Atomic Wedgie, with bows, lights and sleigh bells, and headed into the neighborhood around Knollwood. The tour took the group to 10 houses, where they performed spirited renditions of holiday carols.  The neighbors were surprised and very enthusiastic, even after Forest tried to get to the treats offered at one house.

The Knollwood Knockouts would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season and a great 2008.
