Tim is a third-generation horseman to be trainer at Oakwoods Farm in Iowa. He began his Saddlebred show career in 1961 and continues to exhibit today. He has served on numerous boards, ranging from the Iowa American Saddlebred Association to six terms as chairman of UPHA Chapter ¾. Tim is currently serving on the USEF Saddle Seat Equitation Committee and is Co-chair of the USEF Saddlebred Committee. He is a registered USEF judge in several divisions including American Saddlebreds. Showing a commitment to the importance of maintaining a viable Saddlebred industry at all levels, Tim helped start and currently co-managers the Iowa Fall Classic Horse Show – a show that hosts the ASB Futurity of Iowa and the Midwest American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Championships. Tim says, “I have a strong desire to insure the continued growth and development of the Saddlebred industry in more non-traditional venues – both geographic and discipline in nature.”
