ST. LOUIS NATIONAL CHARITY HORSE SHOW NEWS

St. Louis National

The St. Louis National Charity Horse Show, held September 24-28, 2013 at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, MO, prize lists and entry forms will be mailed next week.  The forms will also be available on line at www.stlhorseshow.com

The judging panel for the horse show will consist of: Sally Lindabury, Saquort, NY; Cindy Mugnier, Belchertown, MA; Marsha Shephard, Shelbyville, TN; and Mike Tunstall, Finchville, KY.

The show welcomes new office staff and MOS tabulators, Beth Snider, Sandy Backer-Cherry, and Deb Morris. Howard Schatzberg Photography and Seehorse Video will return to provide complete coverage of the show including streaming video coverage of all sessions.

Several changes have been made to the show schedule to alleviate evening sessions from running too late.  Additionally the Academy Show on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning will be judged by a three-judge panel comprised of members of the William Woods University and Stephens College Equine Programs.

The popular “party boxes” (sold out in 2012) will be back as well as the Thursday night Fiesta Party, the Friday night Exhibitor Bar-b-q with live music by the “Last Missouri Exit” band and the Saturday evening Vendor Reception. A 50/50 pony pitch will be held during each evening performance where the pot is split between the winner and directly with the show’s charities. If you are interested in reserving a party box, please contact Beth Snider to check availability.

Host hotels are once again the Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites, conveniently located near the National Equestrian Center in O’Fallon, MO.  Ask them about the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show discounted rate. There are many other hotels, fine dining and shops in the area including the Meadows at Lake St. Louis outlet mall.

Please note that any donations to the horse show or sponsorships will help support the show’s two charities – Stray Rescue of St. Louis and Therapeutic Horsemanship. Please contact Beth Snider or Joan Friesen if you have any questions or would like a prize list mailed to you.
