Saddlebred Enthusiasts Needed to Volunteer for Ohio Equine Affaire®

Lexington, Kentucky - The American Saddlebred Horse Association will once again sponsor a breed booth at the Equine Affaire® event, set to take place at the Ohio State Exposition Center in Columbus, Ohio beginning Thursday, April 8, through Sunday, April 11.

Jeremy Kelley, trainer at Windgate Farms, will once again be the event coordinator, and will be assisted this year by Mary Waickman, trainer at Mary Waickman Stable. “For our breed to continue to grow and prosper it is imperative that we join together as American Saddlebred enthusiasts and support ASHA’s participation in Equine Affaire® and similar events. This is a great opportunity for us to personally talk to thousands of people and properly educate them on the breed we all love so much,” says Kelley.

There will be an informational booth with an adjacent breed stall that will feature an American Saddlebred for attendees to get up close and personal with.

Saddlebred supporters are needed to help staff the information booth and answer questions about the American Saddlebred. Volunteers are also needed to staff the breed stall and to perform in the breed demonstration.

If you would like to volunteer in the informational booth or have general questions, please contact the event coordinator, Jeremy Kelley at
jkell97@aol.com. If you would like to volunteer your horse for the breed demonstration or the breed stall please contact Mary Waickman at mwaickman@aol.com.
