Bradshaw Expresses Gratitude for Saddlebred Sportsmanship Honor

Lexington, Kentucky - In response to being honored as the 2012 recipient of the American Saddlebred Horse Association's (ASHA) Lurline Roth Sportsmanship Award, Suzanne Bradshaw contacted ASHA to express her thanks and appreciation to both the ASHA Board of Directors, and ASHA membership in general, for this honor.

In a card recently sent to ASHA, Bradshaw states:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What a thrill! You will never know how much I cherish my ASHA Sportsmanship Award. I have been showing Saddlebreds since 1947, and they are truly my life.

Our entire family was touched by the award, as my children and grandchildren all show with me.

Please thank the Board of Directors and the entire ASHA membership for thinking of me.

Sincerely,

Suzanne

Recipients of the Lurline Roth Sportsmanship Award are chosen for their sportsmanship and contributions to the breed. Such attributes considered are participation in ASHA programs, support of ASHA, and contributions to the ideals of ASHA. Only ASHA members are eligible. This award goes to a female, and the C. J. Cronan Sportsmanship Award goes to a male.

Lurline Roth was a Director and one of the great historic exhibitors of the Saddlebred show ring. She was involved in showing horses for over half a century and is remembered as the owner of Chief Of Longview and Sweetheart On Parade. Roth showed frequently and was gracious in victory and defeat.
